President’s Message,
Hi Members, Here in northern Wisconsin the summer tourist season is officially over, the kids are back in school and fall is beginning. The end of September thru the beginning of October starts the color season. This is when the Northland is blanketed in the beautiful and vibrant colors of fall, and is the time to take a Fall Color Tour. What better way to see the colors and wildlife than from the back of an ATV. Take the family and friends out for an afternoon ride on our trail system to see this wonder of Mother Nature. The ride I always enjoy is Trail #39 north from Spooner to Trail #8, then head west on Trail #8 to the Wild River Trail (Trail # 35), and then back south to Spooner. We always take a short side trip north on Trail #35 to Minong for lunch and gas. This is a nice ride in any season and is about 75 miles in length, just right for a day trip. Remember “Ride Safe”
Greg
TRAIL REPORT: We have now completed the mechanical brushing for the summer. This method tends to leave a lot of brush on the trail, so if you are out riding in a vehicle or ATV please remove any and all brush on Trails 7B, 7 (Casey Loop), and 39N. Call Jim with your time worked and I will get it credited. By the time you read this the bridge in the Casey Lake area should be completed and ready for ATV’s and snowmobiles. Thanks! to those club members that worked. Starting in the 3rd week of the month we will be back to grading all ATV trails. For trail concerns call: Jim 715-635-8661
Jim Dienstl (right) was recognized at the Sept. 4th regular meeting held at Wolf Point, for his years of hard work and dedication as the Club’s President. Current President Greg Leitza presented Jim with a placque expressing appreciation for his years of commitment as past president.
SUNSHINE: Members are encouraged to let Mary Patrick know if a land owner or anyone in the club or their family member is sick, or just in need of a little “sunshine” from the Club, so that she can send a card of concern or encouragement. Please contact Mary at 715-635-4900 if you are aware of anyone needing recognition. Thank you.
It’s that time of year again!
Fill out the membership form and bring it to the meeting or drop it in the mail. John will be collecting dues.
